TNF8SL64S: a 1xSTM-64 processing board

The SL64S can be used to receive and transmit one STM-64 optical signal. The SL64S board converts the received optical signals into electrical signals and sends the electrical signals to the cross-connect side. In addition, the SL64S converts the electrical signals from the cross-connect side into optical signals and transmits the optical signals.

One SL64S board receives and transmits one channel of STM-64 optical signals, performs O/E conversion for STM-64 signals, extracts and inserts overhead bytes, and reports alarms generated on the line.

The SL64S consists of an O/E conversion unit, an overhead processing unit, a logic control unit, and a clock unit.

Overhead processing	Processes section overheads of STM-64 signals. Processes higher order path overheads. Provides D1-D12 and orderwire byte channels. Supports the setting and querying of J0, J1, and C2 bytes.
Pointer processing	Processes AU pointers.
Alarm and performance event	Provides various alarms and performance events, facilitating equipment management and maintenance.
Protection schemes	Supports two-fiber bidirectional ring MSP. Supports linear MSP. Supports SNCP.
Line clock source	Supports one SDH line clock source.
