TNF8SL64S: a 1xSTM-64 processing board
The SL64S can be used to receive and transmit one STM-64 optical signal. The SL64S board converts the received optical signals into electrical signals and sends the electrical signals to the cross-connect side. In addition, the SL64S converts the electrical signals from the cross-connect side into optical signals and transmits the optical signals.
One SL64S board receives and transmits one channel of STM-64 optical signals, performs O/E conversion for STM-64 signals, extracts and inserts overhead bytes, and reports alarms generated on the line.
The SL64S consists of an O/E conversion unit, an overhead processing unit, a logic control unit, and a clock unit.
